Consultancy

Based on my research expertise I provide consultancy to policy makers and nongovernmental organizations.

My input on transnational repression has been solicited by Members of the German Parliament, the Canadian Ministry of Global Affairs, and the U.S. State Department, among others. I was invited to testify on digital transnational repression before the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) and I have written policy briefings on transnational repression and Iranian politics.

I also offer training and advice on the risks of transnational repression. I have worked with organizations such as Scholars at Risk (Sweden/Italy) and the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation (Germany). In addition, I can provide input on the ethics and risks of research with vulnerable participants.

I am frequently invited to give guest lectures and have organised numerous conference panels around my research topics (academic/non-academic).

With extensive international working experience, I am a reliable and efficient collaborator who enjoys working in distributed set-ups. My working languages are English and German. I also communicate in French and Persian.
